Best Engagement Photographer in New York

When it comes to getting engagement pictures taken, most clients are really nervous. For many couples, this is their first time being professionally photographed together. I often have clients tell me that they are incredibly intimidated being in front of the camera. Believe me when I tell you that I completely understand your fears! Every time I get my picture taken, even if it’s just for a simple headshot, I get nervous. One of the things that I believe that I excel in as an engagement photographer, is making clients feel comfortable in front of the camera. On the wedding day, emotions are running high and it's easy to be caught up in the excitement of the occasion. For an engagement portrait session, it might feel much less natural being photographed. While I am not the type of photographer that will meticulously set up every pose, I promise to work with my couples to make sure they feel as at ease as possible. I look for beautiful light, find wonderful backgrounds, and look for compositional scenarios that I can use to stage my scenes. Then all my couples have to do is be themselves! If you are exceptionally nervous, just let me know and I will guide you through some simple poses. These poses will make you feel more comfortable, all not restricting the natural interaction between you two. When posing this image, I simply asked this beautiful couple to put their arms around each other and snuggle up however they wanted to. I made sure that they were in gorgeous light, and that the background was exactly what I wanted it to be, but the moment was their own. Exif: 1/400; f/3.2; ISO 640; 200.0 mm. (more exif)
