The Inn at Perry Cabin Wedding Photographer

Despite all the sayings about rain on your wedding day meaning that your marriage will be blessed, no bride actually wants it to rain at their wedding! Rain on a wedding day is especially unwelcome when one is getting married at a location like The Inn at Perry Cabin in St. Michaels, Maryland. With incredible rolling lawns and hundreds of excellent outdoor photo locations one might think that I would be disappointed to be stuck inside during this part of the wedding day. That could not be further from the truth. The interiors of the skin you are just as beautiful as the exteriors, and even though it was raining the light that was filtering in from the windows filled every room with an incredible warmth. When the bride and groom are ready for their first love, I placed the bride directly next to a window in a long hallway. This meant that the groom had a good long walk to get to his bride, and I was able to photograph the entire thing with the incredible compression of my 70-200mm lens. I love the moment right before the groom reaches the bride during a first look when she knows that he is right behind her. It always elicits an emotional reaction that is pure and unfiltered. The expression on this bright space is so naked and honest, and it was an absolute honor to be able to witness that moment and document it for them.
