Lighthouse at Chelsea Pier Wedding Photographers

At every wedding I shoot I look for opportunities to photograph the bride alone. Sometimes this doesn’t happen due to timing, location, or the bride’s request but at this Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers wedding in New York City the light was perfect and the timing was just right to make this gorgeous portrait of this vivacious bride. The bride had just gotten ready and was getting ready to leave to see the groom for the first time at the High Line. I asked her to sit near one of the windows in her hotel room and had her turn her face towards the window light. I almost always shoot these images with my 85mm f/1.4 lens at f.1.4 so that her eye is crisp but everything else gently fades away in the background. I understand that being in front of the camera can be really intimidating so I do everything that I can to ensure that my clients feel comfortable and safe in front of my lens!. Location: 61 Chelsea Piers #300, New York, NY 10011. Keywords: Lighthouse at Chelsea Pier (8), New York City (69). Exif: 1/500; f/1.6; ISO 200; 85.0 mm. (more exif)
