Henry Ford Museum Wedding Photographer.

This wedding photo of a gorgeous bride and groom was captured at The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. We decided to use the Museum Plaza to photograph their first look and take the hundreds of portraits that would follow. As you can see from this image, I was drawn to the Heroes of the Sky exhibition. The light was dramatic and the hanging airplanes made an extraordinarily different type of backdrop for a wedding. For my camera settings, my aperture was set to f/4 so that both the bride and groom would be perfectly in focus while the compression of the 135mm focal length would create a dramatic relationship between the foreground and background of the image.  I positioned the bride so that she would be lightly silhouetted against the bright background and juxtaposed the groom against the darker background.  I chose to position them in the first third of the image so that the rest of the frame was filled with the plane in the background.  This gives the viewer a great sense of not only the intimacy between the bride and groom but a sense of environment. Location: 20900 Oakwood Blvd, Dearborn, MI 48124. Keywords: Dearborn (3), henry ford museum (2). 1/125; f/4.0; ISO 2000; 135.0 mm.
