Hyatt at the Bellevue Wedding Photographer

The bride wore an incredible lace veil at Philadelphia’s Hyatt at the Bellevue hotel while getting ready for her wedding at the Please Touch Museum. When I saw the lovely window light filtering through the curtains I knew that setting would be a wonderful place to photograph the wedding bands and her engagement ring. I set the rings on the edge of the windowsill so that they were directly in the path of light. This illuminated the diamond beautifully. I hung the veil in the window as well so that I was able to use it to frame the wedding rings as well as give visual interest to the photo. When composing the photograph I was very careful to not have any of the thick lace covering the rings but rather encircling them perfectly. The leading lines of the lace bring the viewer’s eye into and out of the photograph and pushes focus directly to the rings. I also love that something personal of the bride’s - her wedding veil - was also an important part of this detail photo. Location: 200 S Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19102.
