Belle Mer Wedding PhotographerAfter taking portraits of the bride and groom alone together it was time to head to Belle Mer for them to relax before family formals and their outdoor wedding ceremony. It was also a great time to take some more bridal portraits of the gorgeous bride. We used the luxurious Belle Mer Loft for these portraits and I absolutely love the delicate, even light in the space. The whitewashed floors reflected light back up and helped create a beautifully illuminated room. Belle Mer is a Longwood Events venue in Newport, Rhode Island, and this wedding was my first time at this contemporary oceanside venue. I loved the bright, modern feeling here and the killer views of Narragansett Bay. Newport is so beautiful in the warm months and it was such a treat to have access to the manicured laws as well as the beautiful indoor spaces. Besides showing off the beauty of the Belle Mer Loft, this image also shows off the beauty of the Nikon 85mm f/1.4 lens when shot at f/1.4 I love the gorgeous bokeh in this shot and the beautifully graphic background. It also doesn’t hurt that I had a bride who was gorgeous both inside and out to work with on this wedding day!
