There are two places in New York that I truly love shooting at : Loeb Boathouse in Central Park, and Brooklyn Bridge Park in DUMBO.  Since Samantha and Adam are getting married in 2015 at the Loeb Boathouse, it only made sense that Brooklyn Bridge Park should be the location for their engagement session.  DUMBO is an acronym for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass, and my favorite part of the whole neighborhood is the beautiful park situated between the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges.  Here are a few of my favorites from Samantha and Adam’s summer engagement session!

Brooklyn Bridge Park Engagement
“Have you seen the overpass with YES under it?” Samantha asked me. “No, where is that?” I said in return. Turns out this completely perfect location is less than a block from the subway station that I exit every. time. I. go. to. that. neighborhood. How had I never seen this before?

The last time I had been to this part of the neighborhood, it was under construction. Thankfully all of the tarps and caution tape were stripped away, and we were able to shoot. I love finding new areas in familiar places!

I love finding quiet parts in busy places.

“I know this is a gross alley. And it’s really dirty down there. And people are looking at us like we’re insane. But can you go stand there because I promise it will make a really, really great picture.”
