One of New York City’s premier restaurants, Casa La Femme, has quickly become a sought after wedding and reception spot. An icon of New York nightlife and an acclaimed historic venue according to New York Magazine and Zagat, Casa La Femme offers couples stunning décor with a side of warm Middle Eastern hospitality. Here, in the heart of the West Village, is 6000 square feet of glamour that are perfect for hosting an intimate wedding of close family and friends or a reception for up to 250 in rare, eccentric style.
Inside the jewel of Manhattans’ Greenwich Village, you will rich draperies, tented tables and inviting warm booths surrounding the sunken floor in the square dining room. It’s a mix of opulent colors, an oversized wood-burning fireplace, and ornate furnishings gathered together under multiple crystal chandeliers. The gorgeous hand tiled floors and unique oval, wood bar, lend themselves to an evening of adventure, where at your request, a traditional Egyptian belly dancer can entertain your guests. The organza tented tables create an air of intimate mystery and romance, while the vibrancy of the colors and the décor set an elegant tone.
It goes without saying that the menu at Casa La Femme is a world-renowned dining experience that will delight even the biggest food critic on your guest list. An exceptional dining experience, great care has been put into hand-selecting dishes, featuring authentic Egyptian cuisine that includes both traditional dishes as well as newly created tastes developed by their in house chef. Add to that, they have a delicious hand-crafted cocktail list and premium liquors, and a visit to the bar featuring indoor grass is a unique experience. I find that the staff at Casa La Femme are as outstanding as their venue: professional, with attention to detail, and working seamlessly with vendors to bring every couples' wedding day vision to life with extraordinary style.
Casa La Femme has several charming rooms; the Red Bathroom is a favorite location for photos. The venue has been the backdrop of dozens of movies, music videos and celebrity parties. As a photographer, I’m in love with the way the room sets the tone steeped in romance and mystery providing a background to wedding portraits that I haven’t found anywhere else in the city.
The best part, for me, is the ability to walk out the door and be on the streets of the city where we can create stunning wedding photos in a fun, funky, urban setting. Casa La Femme is a location that we can be creative and embrace the character of New York.1/8000; f/2.0; ISO 160; 135.0 mm.
