I know! Sad news - and I really loved that space, too. There was something so unique about watching a couple exchange their vows underneath the chandelier is in that soaring, quirky venue. Never fear, however, Philly wedding venue giant Cescaphe is to the rescue with a handful of other venues that are sure to delight even the most discerning of couples.
From the Mill House to the Grand Pavilion to the Engine House, Water Works has a little something for everyone. Located just behind Philadelphia's famous Art Museum, above the iconic Boathouse Row, and with incredible views of the Schuylkill River,Water Works is an amazing venue for couples looking for a unique venue with amazing views.
Cescaphe's newest venture, the Lucy is perfectly situated in the middle of Center City on the iconic Avenue of the Arts. If you're looking for 19th century luxury, you've come to the right place! Chandeliers, ivory walls, marble everywhere, and underscored by chevron-painted floors, the Lucy is certainly worth checking out!
What could be a cooler wedding venue than a vintage movie theatre? From the cathedral ceilings to the hugely dominating bar (it takes up a whole wall!) the Cescaphe Ballroom is extraordinarily popular for a reason. It is, quite simply put, grand
Modern, modern, modern. Urban, chic, and full of stainless steel and reclaimed wood, Tendenza is original and stylish. I especially love the three-level space used for cocktail hour. The Main Cocktail Room, Catwalk, and Mezzanine all evoke the signature Cescaphe luxury in terms of style, and are a fan favorite with all guests!
My favorite part of Vie is the outdoor courtyard, hands down. I love that the ceremony stage is a perfect structure, framed with nature and industry side by side. Cocktail hours at Vie sprawl lazily between the Foyer, Mosaic Room, and Lounge. The French-inspired Grand Ballroom is the perfect setting for one of the legendary, long receptions that Cescaphe is so well known for!
My personal favorite of the bunch, the Down Town Club features an unparalleled view of Independence Hall and Old City Philadelphia. I love the combination of white walls and modern fixtures with the uniquely old world design of the building itself. I also love the proximity of the Down Town Club to my favorite park location for wedding day photographs : Washington Square Park.
So be sad that our beloved Curtis Center is no more, but rejoice that Cescaphe still has many amazing Philly venues to check out. Be sure to get in touch and let me know which one you choose!
