If I had to choose a favorite park in New York, it would absolutely be Prospect Park. It has all of the charm, foliage, and brilliant green expanses of Central Park. It also is quieter, more peaceful, and a more tranquil photographic location. If you are looking for a beautiful park to have your engagement pictures taken in, then look no further than Prospect Park. If you’re worried that the only thing the Prospect Park has to offer is greenery, worry no more. There are wonderful bridges, stone archways, old stone staircases, boat houses, ponds, and brilliant buildings. If you like the look of the boathouse in Central Park but don’t like the crowds of tourists, the boathouse in Prospect Park might be the perfect location for you. The Vale of Cashmere is a gorgeous hidden gem, making you feel like you’re alone in the middle of the wilderness. The Long Meadow is beautiful, as is the Peninsula, Bailey Fountain, the entrance to Grand Army Plaza, the Audubon Center, and the Lullwater Bridge. I especially adore the huge expanse of the Nethermead! Prospect Park is a brilliant alternative to Central Park, and is certainly my top choice for a New York couple looking for a gorgeous outdoor location for their engagement photos.
