Feature in Green Wedding Shoes
Over the past decade the vintage wedding trend has been exceedingly popular. Widely extolled by blogs such as Grey Likes Weddings, Style Me Pretty, Snippet and Ink, Wedding Chicks, and Green Wedding Shoes, the DIY movement has become a force in the wedding industry. It was wonderful to be featured on Green Wedding Shoes for this sweet, French flower market-inspired wedding in 2011. The event designer and creator of the save the date cards for this event was Inspired Goodness. Event planning was provided by the fantastic team at Hopple Popple. The floral designer was by QuatreCoeur. The bride got ready at the phenomenal Ink48 hotel. The wedding and reception were hosted at New York’s Hudson Terrace. Catering was by Foremost Glatt Kosher Caterers. Entertainment was by the unstoppable Cafe Wha band, and the brilliant cinematographer was my dear friend Adam Forgione of Pennylane Productions. This was a wonderful wedding to shoot because the bride and groom adored the vintage look but hired a fantastic team who understood what it would take to bring that vision to life in a classy, modern way. From the woodgrain paper table numbers to the vintage tea tins full of flowers, every detail was meticulous and also meaningful to the couple. The bride reused her mother’s wedding dress so the decor of the day was in the same upcycled theme, and I think it was executed perfectly.
