Green Wedding Shoes Feature
I had long been a fan of Green Wedding Shoes before I was featured on their blog. Green Wedding Shoes, a sweetly curated blog by Jen Campbell, strives to feature work with a very precise aesthetic. The weddings they feature are creative, unique, and with a focus on personality. After photographing this wedding at the Bowery Hotel I knew that it would be an excellent fit for this specific blog. The bride and groom had a very unique look to their wedding, and it was perfectly brought to life by Annie Lee and her team at Daughter of Design. The calligraphy was artfully done by Love Jenna, the bride wore Ines di Santo and Manolo Blahnik, the makeup artist was Jason T Beers, and the floral design was by Antheia. The Bowery Hotel was the location of both the ceremony and reception, and they also catered the reception. I adore this image of the bride’s dress hanging on the getting-ready room balcony at the Bowery. The balcony was uneven and the wind was strong, so I was really nervous about simply hanging the dress on the door and walking away! My assistant was situated right behind the open door, both hands clutching the back of the dress in case an errant gust of wind came along. The last thing in the world that I want to do on a wedding day is explain to a bride that I let her dress blow away down the Bowery!
