1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge
Brooklyn's iconic DUMBO neighborhood, 60 Furman St, Brooklyn, NY 11201.
Have you photographed weddings here before?
Why do you recommend it?
Opening in just 2017, 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge has shot to the front of the line of distinguished wedding venues for couples looking for a location featuring modern lines, fantastic amenities and spectacular views of the city all one place. 1 Hotel weaves minimalist décor with the outdoors seamlessly. From the tremendous cityscapes to the private park and the rooftop pool, there is something for every couple, and every guest, at a 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge wedding.
Getting ready was never so luxurious, nor so spectacular with amazing city views and loads of light pouring in the windows as it is at the Riverhouse. One of the many fabulous suites that you have to choose from, the Riverhouse is comprised of three gorgeously presented bedrooms, a soaking tub carved from stone, a Keetsa hemp-blend mattress, a stone dining room table for ten, as well as complimentary bicycles.
Truth be told, that’s only the tip of the hospitality iceberg which 1 Hotel offers its guests, but those are my favorites. Well, that… and all the stunning lighting options during the getting ready this space affords us!
The Meadow Rue is 6,025 square feet of open and airy ballroom space. This striking but simple location can be used as one large space or divided up into areas for your ceremony, cocktail hour, or wedding reception. Next to Meadow Rue is a social space that leads straight out into Brooklyn Bridge Park with a private patio that is only open to 1Hotel guests. It’s a unique and amazing way to host your wedding reception in one of the city’s most iconic parks, and it’s the perfect marriage of an elegant indoor wedding with accents of nature.
Some couples choose to have their ceremony in the outdoor area at the feet of the Brooklyn Bridge, which is nothing short of remarkable.
Blue Wood Aster is 2,600 square feet of floor to ceiling windows that open up onto the East River Waterfront and hosts more intimate gatherings under 130 guests. Similar to the Rue, you can enjoy the full space, or have it broken up into separate venues to accommodate your wedding, known for its phenomenal views of the East River. In addition to being an excellent spot for candid portraiture, this bright, open space feels connected to the sky outside, making the room feel spacious and expansive.
I love stepping away with the bridal party to capture some of the love and emotion coupled with the hustle and bustle of city life. Portraits that tell stories within stories are easy to capture as we go on an adventure just outside the doors. With uninterrupted views of Brooklyn Bridge, downtown Manhattan, and the Brooklyn Bridge Park, I love the cinematic backdrops we have to choose from.
You will love the luxurious setting, and your guests will enjoy custom menus created with local and seasonal ingredients served by professional staff who anticipate the days every need.
