I have photographed many weddings at the Crystal Plaza over the years. I'm always impressed with the sheer number of amazing locations for portraits and wedding day activities at this Livingston, New Jersey wedding venue.
One of my favorite places is the outdoor area just behind the Crystal Plaza itself. This meticulously landscaped space backs up to some beautiful wooded areas, making it a secluded and intimate location for portraits as well as a perfect spot for your wedding day ceremony.
The paved path makes a natural aisle towards the simple gazebo. I love that you don't have to go into the gazebo to get married, rather it becomes a beautiful background element for your ceremony. The walkway out to the ceremony space is beautiful, and easy to get to for all guests. It's also just a hop, skip, and a jump inside to your post-ceremony cocktail hour and reception!
If you've planned to get married outside at the Crystal Plaza, as this beautiful couple did in 2017, you also want to consider a rain plan. If it rains on your wedding day, it's easy to partition the ballroom and move your ceremony inside. It's a beautiful space, and super easy to then open up and flip for your wedding reception while your guests are enjoying cocktail hour.
