Mallard Island Yacht Club
Wedding Pictures at Mallard Yacht Club
It is sometimes very difficult to choose just one word to describe my style of photography when it comes to shooting weddings. If I were forced to pick a single word that word would have to be "documentary." While the traditional aspects of wedding photography are absolutely appealing to me and something that I pay great attention to it at every wedding that I shoot it’s the capturing of the unposed, natural moments that are my favorite part of the day. During this wedding reception at the Mallard Island Yacht Club in Manahawkin, New Jersey, the bride and groom cut their cake next to a sliding glass door that led out onto the Yacht Club balcony. This balcony is a wonderful location for dancing during the wedding reception and it also gave the guests somewhere to stand to view the bride and groom while they cut their wedding cake. Three of the groomsmen decided to take advantage of the sliding glass door and the result is this hilariously unprompted documentary photograph.Location: 1450 E Bay Ave, Manahawkin, NJ 08050.
