Skylight Studios Wedding NYC Soho
Every wedding has its own unique traditions and customs that are intimately personal to the bride and groom. During this Indian wedding ceremony at Manhattan’s Skylight West there were many photographic opportunities to document those traditions. Before the bride came down the aisle with her bridesmaids the groom spend some time with his parents under the Mandap. I am always as unobtrusive as possible during a wedding ceremony. I truly feel that every ceremony is a sacred event and it is my job to document it as thoroughly as possible without getting in the way of any of the wedding guests or pulling focus away from the moments unfolding in front of us. For this reason I often rely heavily on my 70-200mm during such occasions. I know the 70-200mm is not a lens traditionally thought of as a detail lens, but for this particular ceremony it served the purpose perfectly. Keywords: Ceremony (143), current portfolio (59), David Tutera (17), detail (144), Indian (56), manhattan (163), new york (465), Skylight West (17), wedding (1128).
