Why do you recommend it?

Philadelphia is a city with a rich history, dating back to the American Revolution. It is known for its iconic architecture, cultural landmarks, and thriving food scene. The town's Old City neighborhood houses Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. The iconic "Rocky Steps" lead to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. In the heart of the city, you'll find Rittenhouse Square, an urban park with plenty of green space and outdoor dining.

The Union Trust is a historic venue located in Philadelphia's downtown district, in the Midtown Village neighborhood. Originally built in 1888 as the Union Trust Company bank, the space has been meticulously restored to preserve its original architectural details. This includes the bank's vaults and teller windows. Today, it serves as a premier wedding and event venue, offering a unique blend of old-world charm and modern sophistication.

Getting married at the Union Trust is an experience like no other. The venue features several stunning spaces, including a grand ballroom, mezzanine level, and cocktail lounge. Couples can exchange vows in the grand ballroom, with its soaring ceilings, original chandeliers, and stained glass windows.

After the ceremony, guests can enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres on the mezzanine level, overlooking the main ballroom. They can then head back downstairs for dinner and dancing.

The Union Trust's experienced staff work closely with couples to ensure every detail of their wedding day is perfect. This includes food, beverages, lighting, and decor.

As for my favorite locations within the Union Trust, here are some highlights:

  1. The grand ballroom, with its soaring ceilings, original chandeliers, and stained glass windows.

  2. The mezzanine level, which overlooks the main ballroom, is furnished with elegant furnishings and unique lighting fixtures.

  3. The cocktail lounge features a sleek and modern design with comfortable seating and a cozy fireplace.

Geographically close to the Union Trust, there are many beautiful and popular locations to explore in Philadelphia. Here are some noteworthy spots:

  1. The Barnes Foundation - 2025 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy, Philadelphia, PA 19130 (15-minute drive). The Barnes Foundation houses an impressive collection of Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, and Modern paintings and sculptures.

  2. The Philadelphia Museum of Art - 2600 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy, Philadelphia, PA 19130 (15-minute drive). The museum is famous for its collection of American art and its iconic "Rocky Steps," which lead up to the entrance.
