80 Wythe Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11249
Have you photographed weddings here before?
Why do you recommend it?
The coolest thing about The Wythe Hotel isn’t the spectacular service, the amazing, food, the attention to detail or the historical character of this Brooklyn wedding venue; it’s their mindful approach to everything.
Once a factory in 1901, it’s been refurbished, restored and transformed into a boutique hotel that is focused on culture, serving seasonal foods and they are proud of Brooklyn’s longstanding history of welcoming people from all around the world. Their dedication to hospitality means that guests feel more like they are a part of a celebratory community as opposed to being a guest at a wedding.
A popular ceremony site is the Garden Terrace which is compromised of the Upper Terrace and the Lower Terrace. An open-air courtyard rich with historical character weaved into the masonry of the exterior walls meets up with the black and white tiled floor which adds a bit of European whimsy under the strings of Edison and twinkle lights interlaced above. It’s also the perfect spot for a cocktail party and guests will love the city views any time of day. The natural light of the terraces is simply stunning.
The Main Hall, with its original brickwork of the walls, exposed pine ceiling with modern lighting on iron pipes, often decorated with Edison lights, or hanging flowers, is a brilliant industrial space. Antiqued mirrors hang around the room, which also has a marble-topped wood bar that adds an element of elegant sophistication.
Family and friends gather around family-style tables to dine on world-class cuisine from the in-house chefs at Reynard Restaurant. Their custom menus are carefully selected and using seasonal, locally sourced American fare that is served with minimally processed wines and spirits which procured from thoughtful producers. The light and shadows dance across the room, creating beautiful textures with the abundant light coming from the floor to ceiling paneled windows.
Brooklyn is nothing if not full of character and a wedding at The Wythe Hotel means we are mere steps from capturing the fun and candid moments, or formal portraits. Strolling the Williamsburg Waterfront for graffiti or the greenway where Manhattan is your perfect wedding backdrop.
End your wedding night at a honeymoon suite nestled in the clouds above the city when you stay in your inclusive loft suite of enclosed glass located on the 7th and 8th floors offering breathtaking views. This Hotel never disappoints!
