Epi Center Wedding Photographers
After this wedding ceremony in Boston in 2012 the bride and groom left the church and were circling back on the lawn to go inside for their family formal portrait session. Midway across the lawn the bride stopped and grabbed her new husband, unable to walk another step without giving him just one more hug and kiss! I love how she is holding his face in her hands in a totally unscripted moment of happiness. I shot this photograph with a 70-200mm lens at a long focal length so that I could make the church in the background appear closer to the bride and groom than it really was. This makes the people in that scene appear a part of this scene, however distant. I felt that the compression would add a sense of intimacy to the final photo and the result is something that I was really proud of and was one of the images in the bride and groom’s final wedding album.Location: 100 West 2nd Street, South Boston, MA 02127.
