The Legacy Castle Wedding

The first time I saw Legacy Castle I couldn’t help but think THIS. Now THIS is a CASTLE.

Located in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, this newer wedding venue has a LOT going for it. Such as:

• Meticulous beaux-arts architecture.
• Actual towers.
• Swirling balconies.
• Classic columns outside.
• Wrought-iron entry gates.
• White swans in the lake.
• An arched entrance from the main gate.
• A fountain with marble figurines.
• A 55-foot ceiling in the main lobby.
• Not one but TWO staircases in the lobby.
• Exquisite chandeliers.
• Three cocktail spaces.
• A grand ballroom that’s over 14,000 square feet.
• Event space on the rooftop.
• Not one - not two - but FOUR getting-ready suites.
• Fire pits on the roof.
• A helipad for landing a helicopter.

When looking at the venue from the perspective of a wedding photographer, it’s almost mind-boggling how many locations you’d have to choose from for your wedding day portraits.

Before you even enter the gates, there are sprawling pathways, a gorgeous drive, wrought iron gates, and a view of the pond and castle.

Once inside the gates you can choose from the circular drive with the towering fountain, the meticulously kept lawns and gardens, and more excellent vistas with views of the lake and castle itself.

When you go inside the castle, the sky really IS the limit. From the opulent lobby to the staircases, hidden nooks, ballrooms, suites, Mayfair Room, Bristol Room, Windsor Room, Kingston Room - the list goes on and on. Whether you have five minutes or five hours to take portraits, there are so many spaces to choose from.
