Virgin Gorda Wedding Photographer
I have always loved photographing destination weddings and the Bitter End Yacht Club is one of the most beautiful destination locations that I have ever been to. The water is clear and blue, the sand is pure white, and the extreme elegance of the Yacht Club is destination wedding perfection. The British Virgin Islands makes a peaceful getaway for brides and grooms looking for a vacation experience for their destination wedding. I photographed the bride out on the water with a 24mm lens. I chose to use a wide angle lens for this portrait to make the bride look small in a vast space. Had I chosen to photograph this with a long lens the entire scene would have been compressed and the viewer would have a very different experience with the final shot. I entered this image in the WPPI 16x20 International Print Competition, a competition that I enter yearly. It’s always wonderful to compete against your peers and receive feedback from the competition judges.
