If you want to take wedding photos in a NYC park, the sky is really the limit.
While New York is best known for it’s architecture, crowded city streets, and soaring skyline, there are an abundance of beautiful parks to take pictures in…some of them you can even get married in!
Prospect Park, Brooklyn.
Some of my favorite parks in New York include:
Brooklyn Botanic Garden : But be careful! You can only get married in this part between the hours of 9am and 10am, and the permit fee and packages are very strict. It’s worth it, but they do enforce the timing!
Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Brooklyn.
Jefferson Market Garden : Located on 6th Avenue, up to 150 people for ceremonies only. A donation to the garden is required to have your ceremony and pictures there.
Central Park Conservatory Garden : The #1 most popular wedding ceremony spot in Central Park! You do require a permit to have your ceremony there, and you do also need an additional permit for photography. (Photography in the rest of Central Park does not require a permit)
Central Park, Manhattan.
Brooklyn Bridge Park : Free for portraits, but there is a permit to have your ceremony there.
Ladies Pavilion : This Central Park location is free for portraits, but does require a permit to have your ceremony there (no matter how small!)
Prospect Park : This amazing Brooklyn park is free to take your pictures in, but does require a permit to have a ceremony.
