Philadelphia holds an incredibly special place in my heart, since it was here that I was engaged. It was in Philly that my husband and I had our engagement pictures taken, and it was in Philly that we were married at the beautiful Front and Palmer. There are many beautiful locations in Philadelphia to take engagement pictures. Whether you opt for the classic charm of City Hall, the expansive views on the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum, or the sweet symbolism of the LOVE statue in LOVE Park, there is a beautiful engagement portrait location in Philly for everyone. My personal favorite location for engagement pictures in Philly is Washington Square Park. This park gives you gorgeous Philadelphia architecture, gorgeous foliage, and stunning old world charm. Bear in mind that if you want to take engagement pictures in Washington Square Park, you’ll need to obtain a permit. If you look at the Philadelphia locations page on this site, I include a link to the permit information. They’re very easy to obtain, but absolutely necessary. If we don’t have a permit to shoot in Washington Square Park, we’ll be asked to leave by a park ranger. I don’t want that to happen to you during your engagement session! I want to concentrate on making beautiful pictures for you, not hiding from park rangers!
