There is something utterly magical about a wedding at Bedell Cellars. Sweetly nestled in Cutchogue, New York, this is a North Fork vineyard straight out of a fairytale. The vineyard and winery are committed to farming in a sustainable manner, and I love that the venue is family-owned and lovingly operated. Just far enough outside of Manhattan, a wedding at Bedell Cellars feels like a destination wedding without your guests having to get on a plane! It’s a wonderful location for a weekend away, and the perfect venue for a charming Long Island wedding.
I was incredibly enamored by the venue options at Bedell Cellars. You have access to an incredible barn-like pavilion for your party. You also can choose from the apple orchard, the vineyard lawn, and the lavender field for your ceremony and party.
It’s wonderful to find that kind of flexibility in a wedding venue! There is even indoor space in the tasting room, which used to be a potato barn! It’s great to have indoor space when you’re getting married outside, just in case of inclement weather! Listed on many wedding venue sites as "historic" and "private" as well as a "farm" and "winery", you can clearly see that a wedding at Bedell Cellars has a bit of everything for everyone!
A wedding at Bedell Cellars can seat two hundred guests indoors, and two hundred guests outdoors. You can seat the same number indoors and outdoors for your wedding reception, same with your cocktail hour.
They have site fees for Fridays and Saturdays, as well as for Sunday events. Their site fees don’t include any rentals you might need, or any catering for your event.
Be sure to check with Bedell Cellars before setting your date, as the venue is only available from May until early October! You can have small private events inside at any time of the year, but weddings are on a seasonal calendar only.
As a wedding photographer, a wedding at Bedell Cellars is an enormous treat. There are simply so many beautiful locations for family formal pictures, images of the bridal party, and pictures of the wedding couple together. Mid-day light here is gorgeous. The sunsets at a wedding at Bedell Cellars are nothing short of jaw-dropping. The golden hour simply drenches the winery with the most beautiful golden glow, making it a perfect location for wedding day pictures.
I’m not the only one who loves a wedding at Bedell Cellars : they are immensely popular with client reviews on both The Knot and Wedding Wire. Clients have said things like "If you want to get married at a vineyard, there is no place more beautiful on Long Island than Bedell Cellars!" in a review on The Knot!
In a review on Wedding Wire, a past client said "Your wedding photos will be nothing less than perfect with this gorgeous vineyard!!" I have to agree with both of them! Clients gush about the beauty of the property. They talk endlessly about the kindness of the owners and the Bedell Cellars staff. They talk about how much their guests loved the property and the experience of their wedding at Bedell Cellars.
Wedding Wire reviewers give Bedell Cellars very high marks on Quality of Service, Responsiveness, Professionalism, Value, and Flexibility. What more can you ask for from a wedding venue?
